Back on American Soil

My Marine Corps Daughter just returned from a 7 month deployment in Iraq.  I am so very thankful to to the Lord for her safe return.  It is amazing how well I can sleep now.  Although I was not able to make the long and expensive journey to California from Ohio to see her off the bus, she was greeted by friends who made signs and welcomed her home in style.

Thank you to all the men and women, who give of themselves to serve our country.  You are truly American Heros.  Having you back on free American soil is a great emotional high for any military family.

Semper Fi!

I know how it feels to have your child over in the war. My son just returned from his fourth tour in five years. There is no such thing as "getting used to it". I pray every day for our troops and their families. I truly mourn when one of the soldiers over there doesn't come back. Many blessings to our troops and their families.

has anyone done the Parris Island Driving tour? Is it on the base itself?
